To train and provide individuals
with an understanding of the intent of the blood borne pathogens regulation
issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); how disease
transmissions occurs; serious communicable diseases; precautions to prevent
disease transmission; and what to do if an exposure occurs. Also covers general and specific information about HIV and AIDS
including transmission, prevention, health care and social issues.
Course Length: approximately 4 Hours
Prerequisite: None
Certificate: Preventing Disease Transmission (meets
OSHA regulations for training in Blood borne Pathogens, must be attended
yearly) and HIV 104 Certification
